Career Opportunities

There is a long-term global demand for graduates with engineering degrees. The central task in almost all industries is the process of inventing and developing new products. This includes product design and product creation. Increasing digitalisation is changing the requirements for new products and production systems. Much more complex "intelligent" products need to be developed and produced in less time. Globalisation is also putting the industry under enormous pressure, which has been exacerbated by the recent crisis. In addition to shorter development times, costs must be significantly reduced in order to remain competitive.

Our bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering combines a broad engineering foundation with application-oriented subjects that teach methods and skills that can be directly applied in professional practice to best meet the needs of industry. In addition, this bachelor's degree is complemented by a comparatively high level of language and cultural skills, as students come from many different countries. This part of the programme is in line with industry requirements for future graduates. Graduates are increasingly expected to be able to work in a team, speak foreign languages and have international experience.
