German Diversity Day is an annual day of action organised by the Diversity Charter, a voluntary commitment to a prejudice-free and equal-opportunity working environment, which over 6,000 employers in Germany have now signed up to.
Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences also signed the Diversity Charter in 2021 and is once again taking part in Diversity Day this year.

Making diversity visible - that is the aim of our Diversity Day. This year, we would like to put students with child(ren) centre stage.
Win 2 tickets (adult + child) per campus for the interactive science show with Professor Bummbastik on 24/05/2025 at Kammgarn Kaiserslautern! An exciting event for all children aged 5-99 years! Exciting knowledge, aesthetic shows and thrilling wow-effects: This is how ‘Professor Bummbastic’ presents 90 minutes full of spectacular experiments and shows how entertaining science can be.

Are you neurodiverse, for example autistic, with ADHD, highly sensitive or dyslexic, or do you have an impairment? Or are you simply interested in engaging in open and understanding discussions about neurodiversity at our university? If so, we cordially invite you to our Neurodivers & Co. Café!

What can you expect?
A relaxed space to arrive, exchange ideas, ask questions, listen and just be. There is no pressure and no need for small talk. There will be drinks and snacks, and you will be with people who understand you.
Who is it for?
All neurodiverse students and students with disabilities are welcome, as well as allies and interested parties. Whether you have a diagnosis or no label, or are simply curious, you've come to the right place!

Lecture on autism and studying, 14 May 14-16 h online via BBB, language: German.
We cordially invite you to our online lecture, 'Autism and Studying', taking place on 14 May from 2 pm to 4 pm. Through this event, we aim to provide insight into the unique characteristics of autistic perception and its impact on various aspects of life, including studying. Everyday university life offers both challenges and opportunities for students with autism. A first step towards good cooperation, effective teaching and successful studies is mutual understanding.
We are pleased to announce that Sarah Morgenstern from the Ökumenisches Gemeinschaftwerk's Autism-Specific Counselling and Support for Adults service will be our speaker. You are warmly invited to learn more about autism and studying, as well as potential support options. There will be ample opportunity for questions and discussion after the talk.

Ein neuer Ort der Vielfalt, Ruhe und Unterstützung
The Room for All is a newly designed, inclusive retreat that meets the diverse needs of our university members. It combines a variety of uses under one roof and is intended to be a sheltered place where you can feel at ease - regardless of your life situation or state of health.

Zweibrücken Campus: Building G Room 213
It was officially opened on 7 and 8 May 2025 and can be used immediately and booked via the campus board.
The room offers:
- Parent-child workroom: Students and employees with child(ren) will find a quiet place to work with child-friendly equipment in the immediate vicinity.
- Retreat and quiet room: For people with health impairments, the room is available as a place to take a short rest, concentrate or take necessary breaks.
- Study and work space: Students and employees with disabilities who want to study or work in a concentrated and undisturbed manner are welcome here.
