BA School of Business and Finance

BA School of Business and Finance is a public higher educational institution offering professional study programmes on a Bachelor’s, Master’s and a Doctoral level. The main focus of the study programmes is business administration and finance. Today, the graduates of BA School of Business and Finance work for leading banks, auditing companies and various government institutions contributing to the growth of the whole sector with their knowledge and expertise. Graduates are nationally and internationally recognized entrepreneurs, managers, consultants, experts and professionals who gained international recognition.

BA School of Business and Finance strongly focuses on research and the practical application of research results. The doctoral programme challenges the development of new ideas for business management that contributes to the creation of original and state of the art knowledge. The academic staff works closely with young researchers and participates jointly in research seminars and in international conferences which results in scientific publications. BA School of Business and Finance has been internationally recognized and holds several certificates that indicate its high level of quality. It has obtained the „Investors in Excellence” Quality Management Certificate by the British Quality Foundation thus proving that it meets the high internationally recognized standards EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence model). In addition, it was awarded with the Investors in Excellence Quality certificate in 2015 for the third time. 

RISEBA University

RISEBA UNIVERSITY (Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration) is a private higher educational institution fully accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia. Founded in 1992, RISEBA was among the first private higher education institutions in Latvia established as a stand-alone business school. Today RISEBA is among the 10 largest higher education institutions in Latvia with over 3000 students, including 200 international students who attend 17 study programmes of different fields and levels, and almost 9000 alumni. International accreditations are vital to RISEBA’s recognition abroad. RISEBA holds an International Quality Accreditation by CEEMAN (Central and East European Management Development Association). Within the EACEA Lifelong Learning Programme, ERASMUS RISEBA has over 80 bilateral agreements with other HEIs from 23 countries of the European Union and also holds 8 bilateral exchange agreements with non-European HEIs from China, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and the Russian Federation. Additionally, RISEBA has 7 double-degree agreements with HEIs from Germany, Finland, France, Sweden, and the Russian Federation.

Stockholm School of Economics in Riga

Stockholm School of Economics in Riga was established in 1993 as a joint project between a Swedish institution of higher education and the Latvian Government with the purpose of offering managerial training in business. The founders were the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden, the University of Latvia on behalf of the Latvian Government, and the Stockholm School of Economics Riga Alumni Association.
